ANOINTED WORDS FOR ORDINARY TIME: EXEGETICAL HOMILIES FOR GOSPEL READINGS FROM LUKE (LECTIONARY YEAR C) (English Edition)
Luke’s own introduction (1:1-4) provides a good starting point for our reflections.

1 Since many have undertaken to set down an orderly account of the events that have been fulfilled among us,

2 just as they were handed on to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,

3 I too decided, after investigating everything carefully from the very first, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,

4 so that you may know the truth concerning the things about which you have been instructed.

Luke’s own introduction informs us that his Gospel account is scholarly. To this end, our approach to reading this Gospel cannot be any less but scholarly in order to have a deeper experience of Jesus.

I therefore, present to you a scholarly exploration into the Gospel of Luke which will prove not only enlightening but also experiential. May this orderly exploration of the Gospel of Luke lead you to experience Jesus, the Truth!
